I thought i would never go back here to blog again but i just had to coz the experience i had over the weekend is just worth blogging

May 26-28 was the 1st mission camp in Metro Region and it was a privilege to be called to serve at this camp, let alone lead it.

We were asked to organize a camp in the small town of Angus  for some grade 8 students who are going to get confirmed. We honestly had one week to prepare for this camp and trying to get the service team completed was such a challenge bec. of the lack of time. But we were very blessed to have 11 amazing people say yes to serve for this camp however last minute they were asked to do so.

To Alphonse and Hazel, our awesome camp servants, I can't thank you guys enough for all the cool games and most esp. the riduculous amt. of patience you guys showed throughout the weekend! As the parents said, if their kids weren't bored that just means they had an awesome time and they weren't bored! whoot!

To the "christian rock band" haha! you guys really rocked! Caroline, Noel, Julius, Troy, Vlad, Hazel and Edelsonne for no practice before the camp you guys did a HECK of a great job! During mass the parishoners were filming you guys! hahaha! u guys are hella talented!

To the facilitators, Caroline, Victoria, Catherine, Angel, Noel, Julius, Troy, Vlad and Ruben, AWESOME JOB! your participants loved you! Julius and Troy thanks for being the skater kids/ musicians that you guys are, the participants really related to you guys and the girls really did love you both and the guys for troy! haha. To Angel and Ruben for saying yes sooo last minute! I'm so grateful to you both! And for Ruben, i don't even know where to begin... they loved you! esp. Vlad  To Noel and his goodlooks and amazing talents  To Caroline, they were really mesmerized by your amazing voice and you really related to your participants as well. To Catherine and Victoria, for being the only ones left to hype up the kids during worship.

Thanks for all of you that double/triple duty during this weekend. That was hardwork.

To my household, for all the prayers and the help during the weekend. For Jose and Krissy for doing the talks. And of course to the Gardons, for everything!

And last but not the least, to raymond my awesome counterpart, although it's soo hard to wake you up i still love you  Honestly though, I couldn't have asked for a better team leader *tear* thanks for all your hardwork! you really did such an amazing job! esp. w/ your oh so funny jokes! haha! and for letting hazel and I use your air mattress. And for everything else, THANK YOU!

ANGUS totally ROCKS! the 20 participants were sooo awesome! they had soo much energy but not the annoying kind, like you feed off from them! I can't wait to see them again!!!

Thanks to their parents for letting them come to camp. To Fr. Joel, for all the food and just the amazing hospitality. To all the parents that cooked and served at the camp we all are trully appreciative of everything.

Wow so that blog was like a long ass thank you speech! Not everyone would even be able to read this but it doesn't really matter...

That camp was truly a miracle! PRAISE GOD!

Fasting & Feasting

Lent is more than a time of fasting, it can also be a joyous season of feasting.
Lent is a time to fast from certain things, and to feast on others.

Fast from judging others
Feast on the Christ dwelling in them
Fast from emphasis on differences
Feast on the unity of life
Fast from apparant darknes
Feast on the reality of light

Fast from thoughts of illness
Feast on the healing power of God
Fast from words that pollute
        Feast on words that purify
Fast from discontent
        Feast on gratitude

Fast from anger
        Feast on patience
Fast from pessimism
        Feast on optimism
Fast from worry
        Feast on Divine Providence

Fast from complaining
        Feast on appreciation
Fast from negatives
        Feast on affirmatives
Fast from unrelenting pleasures
        Feast on unceasing prayer

Fast from hostility
        Feast on peace
Fast from bitterness
        Feast on forgiveness
Fast from self-concern
        Feast on compassion for others

Fast from personal anxiety
        Feast on trust
Fast from discouragement
        Feast on hope
Fast from acts that tear down
Feast on acts which build up

Fast from thoughts that weaken
        Feast on promises that inspire
Fast from idle gossip
        Feast on purposeful silence
Fast from problems which overwhelm
        Feast on prayer that undergirds

i got to see Memoirs of a Geisha and Chronicles of Narnia during the break. Memoirs was really good but i still suggest reading the book. Narnia was done wonderfully but to be honest i was bored esp during the beginning

Ate Arlene's surprise baby shower was pretty cool... there was sooo much foood and CFCs are soo funny playing charades! crossing my fingers for a baby girl hehe... then bowling after was interesting, coz i did soo well!!! hahaha i've NEVER played that well EVER! haha strike after strike! damn right!

This weekend, our household and butch b. had a recollection at Chico's house, it was very much needed. I really can't express with words what i felt/learned but all i can say is, 2006 is gonna be a CRAZZZYY year! i'm excited and scared at the same time and i'm pretty sure that's how everyone is feeling. and believe it or not i heart our HH  *teehee. going to the ancop/east office every other week planning/meeting/WORKING is gonna be _____ ?!?!?!  we're gonna be soo sick of each other! hahaha

P.S. this winter SUCKS! where the heck is the snow!!!!!!!!!!  i've been wanting to go boarding since like last winter! damnit!  hopefully for Mig's timeshare it'll be a great week to snowboard *cross fingers

P.S.S I'm pretty stoked that i'm going to a show! it's been a while since i went and this one will be good coz the line is pretty cool.  and Cat and Jen will be there! hahaha thanks to Copeland! haha

P.S.S.S (haha) and to those who care, the Audio Eng. Tech program that i wanna take will MOST likely NOT happen in 2006  there's just no way i can afford $13,000. it'll happen tho.... well it BEST happen!

PICTURES!!!

YES FOLKS! we had a recollection! hahahaha it wasn't all poker, mingling and playing with nathan... altho those were my favourite parts of the weekend! hehe I KIDD! well kinda
