I thought i would never go back here to blog again but i just had to coz the experience i had over the weekend is just worth blogging
May 26-28 was the 1st mission camp in Metro Region and it was a privilege to be called to serve at this camp, let alone lead it.
We were asked to organize a camp in the small town of Angus for some grade 8 students who are going to get confirmed. We honestly had one week to prepare for this camp and trying to get the service team completed was such a challenge bec. of the lack of time. But we were very blessed to have 11 amazing people say yes to serve for this camp however last minute they were asked to do so.
To Alphonse and Hazel, our awesome camp servants, I can't thank you guys enough for all the cool games and most esp. the riduculous amt. of patience you guys showed throughout the weekend! As the parents said, if their kids weren't bored that just means they had an awesome time and they weren't bored! whoot!
To the "christian rock band" haha! you guys really rocked! Caroline, Noel, Julius, Troy, Vlad, Hazel and Edelsonne for no practice before the camp you guys did a HECK of a great job! During mass the parishoners were filming you guys! hahaha! u guys are hella talented!
To the facilitators, Caroline, Victoria, Catherine, Angel, Noel, Julius, Troy, Vlad and Ruben, AWESOME JOB! your participants loved you! Julius and Troy thanks for being the skater kids/ musicians that you guys are, the participants really related to you guys and the girls really did love you both and the guys for troy! haha. To Angel and Ruben for saying yes sooo last minute! I'm so grateful to you both! And for Ruben, i don't even know where to begin... they loved you! esp. Vlad To Noel and his goodlooks and amazing talents To Caroline, they were really mesmerized by your amazing voice and you really related to your participants as well. To Catherine and Victoria, for being the only ones left to hype up the kids during worship.
Thanks for all of you that double/triple duty during this weekend. That was hardwork.
To my household, for all the prayers and the help during the weekend. For Jose and Krissy for doing the talks. And of course to the Gardons, for everything!
And last but not the least, to raymond my awesome counterpart, although it's soo hard to wake you up i still love you Honestly though, I couldn't have asked for a better team leader *tear* thanks for all your hardwork! you really did such an amazing job! esp. w/ your oh so funny jokes! haha! and for letting hazel and I use your air mattress. And for everything else, THANK YOU!
ANGUS totally ROCKS! the 20 participants were sooo awesome! they had soo much energy but not the annoying kind, like you feed off from them! I can't wait to see them again!!!
Thanks to their parents for letting them come to camp. To Fr. Joel, for all the food and just the amazing hospitality. To all the parents that cooked and served at the camp we all are trully appreciative of everything.
Wow so that blog was like a long ass thank you speech! Not everyone would even be able to read this but it doesn't really matter...
That camp was truly a miracle! PRAISE GOD!
